What is Mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is a very deadly form of cancer. This is the kind of cancer that affects the tissue inside the chest. It is also called as "Leydig Mesothelioma" and it is a particular type of cancer.
This type of cancer has claimed thousands of people's lives in the past. Even today, people are still at high risk if they have suffered from this disease. The most common cause of this disease is exposure to asbestos.
This is a very complicated type of cancer to diagnose, especially due to the fact that there are many different kinds of it. There are various symptoms that indicate that someone has mesothelioma. The most important one is the presence of an increased amount of fluid on the abdomen or chest. The amount of fluid increases because of the fact that the body is at risk of obstructions.
The most common and regular symptoms of mesothelioma include difficulty in breathing. Other symptoms include irregular and rapid heart beat. In some cases, the patient may also experience shortness of breath.
Mesothelioma symptoms are very much similar to other types of cancer and the only difference is that different symptoms are displayed by each case. The symptoms range from one person to another and may differ from time to time.
The symptoms of mesothelioma will vary depending on the person, the place where the cancer was found and the kind of asbestos that were being used. The diagnosis can be very difficult, especially when the doctors fail to recognize the symptoms. This is the reason why a medical exam is needed by the doctors.
Mostof the time, the patients are diagnosed with these tumors as solid tumors in the lungs. It is also rare that a mesothelioma solid tumor spreads to other parts of the body. It is mainly the result of inhalation of asbestos fibers.
It is almost impossible to get mesothelioma without having the presence of solid tumors in the lungs. The major reason why the malignant tumor cannot spread to other parts of the body is because of the fact that the asbestos fibers are absorbed through the lymph system. The tissues in the body do not have enough fatty acid to keep them healthy.
The symptoms of mesothelioma include fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain, a lump under the breastbone, stiffness of the neck, coughing and weight loss. The presence of a lump in the breastbone indicates that the tumor is present. The presence of a lump on the chest means that the patient has suffered from mesothelioma.
The symptoms will vary from one person to another, but the presence of the symptoms will definitely depend on the fact that the fibers that were inhaled are found in the lung. The existence of solid tumors in the lung will indicate that a person has the disease.
Aside from mesothelioma, other lung cancers and several other types of cancers exist. In addition, some people may also develop mesothelioma. Some symptoms include difficulty in breathing, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pain, and swelling of the chest and/or abdomen.
Although it is impossible to know for sure what a person is suffering from, one can have a very good idea about the kind of cancer that he or she may be experiencing by consulting his or her own personal experience. Aside from this, one can also consult his or her doctor for additional information on the condition of the patient. Some people may not feel any symptoms, but they should get a checkup anyway.
